— Becoming while failing
Workshop durant the exhibition Becoming While Failing Centered on the theme Becoming While Failing, the exhibition unfolded through three workshops held respectively during the opening, mid-exhibition period, and closing, inviting the public to engage with failure, process, and transformation through collective making.
Edible Field Food Art
On November 22, during the exhibition opening, Fishead Lab collaborated with ArtTender to present the Edible Field Food Art Workshop. Curated by ArtTender, an interactive food-art table was constructed in front of the exhibition space using bread, vegetables, flowers, and sauces. Visitors were invited to taste, touch, and rearrange the edible elements, leaving behind traces of their actions. Through continuous participation and transformation, these accumulated gestures became the final artwork.
Bacterial Culture Dish
On November 29, Fishead Lab hosted a material experimentation workshop themed around the concept of a “Bacterial Culture Dish.” An improvised “laboratory” was set up within the exhibition space, drawing on the visual and conceptual language of petri dishes. Participants were encouraged to freely experiment with painting materials and chemical agents, observing material reactions and properties. Accidents were embraced as integral to the creative process, allowing change, uncertainty, and imagination to generate works in unexpected ways.
Graffiti Live
On the final day, December 7, Fishead Lab concluded the exhibition with a Graffiti Workshop. After the artworks were removed, the remaining space—wrapped in protective plastic film—was opened entirely to the public. Visitors were invited to draw, write, and mark the walls freely, returning authorship of the exhibition space to collective expression and bringing the exhibition to an open-ended close.
